1.Lead with compassion.
Show that you care. The greatest leaders in the world have shown that understanding their people's deepest needs, understanding, and responding is one of the most important requirements to excel.
2. Know what motivates people
Do you know what really drives your people to excel? Do you know how to motivate them? Are they ALL the same? If you do not know what their drivers are, how can you lead them and inspire them? Find out!
3. Learn to communicate amazingly.
Does what you are saying convey what you really mean? Do you get feedback that your message was not really understood? Verbally, written and with your body language, learn communication. Understand what your people see and hear when you communicate with them.
4. Learn about win, win, win situations.
Whenever you carry out an action, as a leader and as a human being, STOP and think about what is the action which will result in the BEST POSSIBLE outcome for every person involved in this action. How will this affect all involved. What is the best possible result?
5. Ask for help, get feedback, improve!
Ask people around you for help. Get feedback. Take a course. Hire a Coach. We forget about learning as we grow older. We can change, we can improve. Just a small step like hiring an external person who is not emotionally connected to you and can provide a subjective point of view you have not seen in yourself.
